I am looking for a book that has a similar vibe to Harry Potter. I’m not sure exactly what I mean by that lol, but something fiction with fantasy elements that is a really intriguing read with compelling characters. also not too hard to understand

lol I bet it gets recommended on here all the time, but this is THE question for Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. I wish I had read this after I read Harry Potter as a teen. It’s a straight up Fantasy novel which starts as a heist story but ends up growing into much, much more. It has “Harry Potter vibes” in that, though markedly more mature, it’s something I definitely could have read and would have loved when I was 15. The prose is clear, the characters are all loveable, and the world is just so so intriguing and well-built. It’s part of a trilogy (and more but thats complicated) but book 1 stands on its own really well.
the dresden files the audiobooks are great
Second the Scholomance trilogy. Also _The Magicians_, by Lev Grossman. And maybe _The Night Circus_, by Erin Morgenstern
