Good morning. Looking for book suggestions! I usually do audio books while running/driving but read a few physical books a year too.
Recent books I’ve done with how I would rate them out of 5:
Unbroken – Hillenbrand 4/5.
The Power of 0 (investment book) – McKnight 1/5.
The Simple Path to Wealth – Colin’s 5/5
High Performance Habits – Buchard 3/5.
Be Where Your Feet ARE – Scott O’Neil 4/5.
Never Finished – Goggins 2/5 (I have done his first book too and would give that a 4/5).
Hero of Two Worlds (Marquis De Lafayette bio) – Duncan 5/5.
Storm Before the Storm – Duncan 5/5.
Caesar: Life of a Colossus – Goldsworthy 5/5.
Augustus – Goldsworthy 5/5.
Trajan Romes Last Conquerer – Jackson (3/5).
Brief Answers to Big Questions – Hawking (5/5).
Måns Search for Meaning – Frankl 5/5.
Phillip and Alexander – Goldsworthy 3/5 (loved the book but wished I had gone with a strict Alexander bio).
The Talent Code – Coyle (hard to rank. Loved the book, never looked into the authors claims if the are backed by accepted science or not).
Undisputed Truth – Tyson 5/5.
Napoleon: A Life – Robert’s 5/5.
The Evidence for Modern Physics — Boyer great course 5/5.
Current book is Fall of Carthage by Goldsworthy
I love science /physics topics and also love improvement / motivational books but that area is so full of garbage I’m hesitant to download without recommendation from a trusted source.
I also love large characters / generals /leaders and prefer the ancient world. I’d like to keep biographies before 1800 whenever possible but have considered Oppenheimer, Patton, John Nash, and Einstein as possibilities but prefer older biographies. Typically the older the better.

For biography, Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr. by Ron Chernow
For short biographies of scientists, The Age of Wonder by Richard Holmes
