I’ve been looking for new audio books to listen to through Libby. I’ve searched through old responses but can’t always find the recommended title through my Library. Most recently I went through the entire Thursday Next Series and The Witcher, so anywhere from British nonsensical fantasy to something a bit rougher. Currently waiting my turn to listen to The Expanse novels. If you know for sure a book has a great audiobook counterpart that is helpful but I’m also willing to do the leg work and find out if the book translates to audio well.

Also, willing to take recommendations for something not top tier but binge worthy. I currently have a lot of free listening time.

    1. The Vorkosigan books by Lois McMaster Bujold are great. In libby they are listed in chronological order, though, so if you are a stickler for publication order, you’ll have to go against libby’s listings. It is a really long series, each book is pretty big, and there are a bunch of novellas and short stories from the world too. I binged it in October and loved it so much… I don’t think I’ll get over it for a bit yet.

    2. The Fortress series by C. J. Cherryh.

Either the Shadowmarch or Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series by Tad Williams. I know for sure these have audio versions, my library has them, but I don’t know if yours will.

    3. ‘The Name of the Wind’ by Patrick Rothfuss is a book I suggest for its lyrical prose and the compelling story of Kvothe, a gifted young man growing up to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever known. Rothfuss weaves a tale of magic and music that’s truly unforgettable.
