Looking for a fantasy or sci/fi book with a lesbian protagonist
the title basically says it all, I like to be able to relate to the protagonist and having a straight or male main character does not allow me to have the same type of connection to the book.
I have yet to start with this author, but I’ve heard good things about Benjanun Sriduangkaew. Apparently all she writes is sci-fi with lesbians

A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet – Chambers
Jasmine Throne – Suri
Bluebird – Pierlot
Mimicking of Known Success – Older
Even Though I Knew the End – Polk
Edited to add: Tor.com Publishing published almost all Sci-fi and Fantasy and a lot of it is queer.

Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. It’s high fantasy.
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston. It’s magical realism.

I’m surprised no one has suggested “A Memory Called Empire” by Arkady Martine. The protagonist has an f/f romance, but the novel really shines in its court intrigue.

The Unspoken Name by A. K. Larkwood. Ngl kinda fell in love with the lesbian orc protag and could not put it down. I’ve been meaning to reread it as there is also a sequel that I have not gotten around to yet.
