Hi there, this is my first Reddit post so I hope I don’t breach any community guidelines!
I’m reaching out to you guys because I’m at a loss an in search of some advice because things are worsening for me. Lately, I’ve been dealing with trypophobia, and I’m eager to find a book that might help me better understand and overcome this fear.
For those unfamiliar with trypophobia, it’s a term used to describe an aversion to the sight of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps, like the holes on a lotus flower to give a reference. This usually triggers in me tons of anxiety, discomfort, and in worst cases panic attacks. I’ve been struggling with this my whole life and now things are worsening because I think about it more and more, but I can’t seem to find any read online. I know that support therapy should be chosen, but I don’t have enough money to start therapy now and I belive reading a book that addresses this fear might provide some comfort and insights.
So, I’m turning to you guys… Have you come across any books that delve into the topic with the goal of helping the reader overcome trypophobia? Or is there a novel or self-help book that has helped you or someone you know navigate through similar feelings?
I’m open to any suggestions!
Lots of love
