I am looking for a very specific trope. Inspired by the song ‘About you’ by the 1975 Specifically the lyric that struck me the most – ‘Did you think I have forgotten about you?’ – A story from the perspective of two people (but can be from only one of them as well) who used to be in an relationship when they were younger but sadly things did not work out. But, they were both each-others first love and looks for that person in every relationship they get in. They find each-other again but they cannot be together, no matter how badly they know they miss one another. So a forbidden love type of thing. I hope this makes sense and there’s a book similar to this! First time I heard this song I thought about how it’d be written out story form and the feelings i’d get from it. Thank you!!
