Please give me recommendations for books with couples that have a really intense relationship and would do anything for each other without question. Claire and Jamie in Outlander would be the best example. Others might be something like Bella and Edward in Twilight or Jimmy and Kim from Better Call Saul. Something where there’s something going on outside of their relationship that’s bigger than them, and they can only try and hope to not lose each other in the chaos. I just love this kind of dynamic. Oh and bonus points if it’s a series. Thank you!

Darius and Tory from Zodiac Academy. The series is new adult and its enemies to lovers
The Divergent series has the same type of lead characters, so does the Hunger Games
Natural Born Killers
“Something where there’s something going on outside of their relationship that’s bigger than them, and they can only try and hope to not lose each other in the chaos.” This is literally Eddie and Odetta/Susannah from the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King. You’d be meeting them both in the 2nd book of the 8 book series.
Almost the entire 4th book is a flashback to the main character’s romantic relationship with his only love. Arguably the best book of the series.
Warning: If you’re looking for happy endings, you won’t find them in this series.
All The Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood.
But.. Some people consider it incredibly controversial, so depending on your tolerance for dark/difficult reads, it might be worth checking out a few reviews and trigger warnings first.
Dm let’s discuss
You should read the Earth’s Children series!

The inner nerd in me immediately calls out Arwen and Aragorn in Lord of the Rings, and Beren and Lúthien story in the Silmarillion.
Withering heights
Pride and prejudice
Mistborn. Can’t spoil who because them ending up together is a fun part of the books. Absolutely though.
Locke and Jean from Gentleman Bastards series.
