My son has been developing an interest in Greek, Egyptian and Roman mythology and history.

We’re reading the “Time Hunters” books by Chris Blake and have also started “The Odyssey” graphic novel by Russell Punter & Fabiano Fiorin. Today I also picked up a book called “So You Think You’ve Got It Bad? A Kid’s Life in Ancient Egypt” by Chae Strathie & Marisa Morea.

Any suggestions on similar books? Not worried about origin, just after some cracking stories involving Gods & mortals with a slice of how it was back in the day. Happy with a blend of fiction & “fact” (like Time Hunters). Really happy with a blend of art and reading (like the graphic novel).

Son is a good reader & this seems an engaging area for him.

    Thanks for any help.

Take a look at Bea Wolf. It’s a fun retelling of the epic story with the Vikings replaced by a bunch of neighbor kids.

It’s written by Zach Weiner, the cartoonist who makes Saturday Morning Breakfast Comics.
