i read this book first wave of covid over lockdown and nothing has gripped me since. i realize i’ve become increasingly picky about the style a book is written in and this one really nails it. i’m open to most genres with a focus on thrillers, supernatural, horror (esp. body or cosmic), sci-fi, dystopian, and low fantasy (but would give high fantasy a try). please let me know if there’s anything out there like this book!!

Neal Shusterman’s Scythe books have a similar feel. His Unwind books might also be worth considering.

      Scott Westerfield’s Uglies books.

      Pierce Brown’s Red Rising books.
