I’m trying to think about why I found Tropic of Capricorn intriguing and I think it’s the Lost Generation as a whole potentially. I find books where characters are kind of passive and aimless very interesting for some reason. Life happens to them, not the other way around.
I also enjoyed The Sun Also Rises, possibly for this same reason?
And my favorite books is Another Country by James Baldwin with an honorable mention to Norwegian Wood by Murakami. Not sure if that gives any extra info but figured I’d include it.
Any recommendations for books that give this same feeling?
