I need help finding an apocalyptic book I skimmed through a long time ago. The book is about a group of brothers who survive a pandemic known as “The Rapture”, because of its 99% fatality rate. The book doesn’t begin with the very first cases of the virus, but when the infection is beginning to depopulate “ground zero”, where one of the brothers lives. The book skips through the peri-outbreak period rather quickly, though in another chapter in which one of the brother’s children(?) is stuck in a depopulated school, it describes how the school died out. Does anyone know which book I’m talking about?
