I actually require absolute silence and can’t listen to music and read a book at the same time.
As a DJ I listen to music A LOT in my time otherwise – while working or reading articles online. Reading a book though? It breaks my immersion.
Either a rain soundtrack if my tinnitus is playing up or “Better alone” which is a playlist by Trent reznor for background music and soundtracks.
I can’t listen to anything with vocals as it’s too distracting.
