My grandmother is very sharp, and a voracious reader, and loves listening to me talk about technology (we had a long conversation about generative AI over Thanksgiving), but is herself hopelessly inept at _using_ technology. The TV remote is too much.
I’m looking for a book a little like Bill Bryson’s “A Short History of Everything”–something that discusses technology in “depth”, but in a very accessible way.
I’m considering “Algorithms to Live By”, but am curious if anyone has other suggestions

The Science Book – Big Ideas Simply Explained by DK is a great one that discusses the history and evolution of scientific concepts along with many revolutionary technologies.
