    Hi guys! I’ve been looking for a book that someone told me about ages ago. From what I remember, they mentioned it’s about how depression is a normal response to the way things are in life. And anyone who’s really happy is delusional.. something along those lines
    Or if there are any books you have come across that explore this theme, please let me know.

Barbara Ehrenreich’s Bright-Sided is nonfiction that looks at the culture of positivity/positive thinking in the US and the way that it’s actually deployed to control people, from workers who have good reason to be unhappy about their working conditions, to cancer patients to keep them from complaining or expressing ‘uncomfortable’ emotions to healthcare workers.
