*The World Turned Upside Down: Radical Ideas During the English Revolution* by Christopher Hill (I have a specific interest in English radical history, this one has more of that sort of focus)
Hill also has a biography of Cromwell called *God’s Englishman*. I’ve not read it but it seems to have very positive reviews.
