Looking for something to new. I read a good amount of classic books and comics/graphic novels
My top five favorites are
1. A series of unfortunate events. I love Daniel handlers unique style and how he was able to incorporate the style into the story
2. Hunger games. I like how Collins took aspects of our modern day culture to their nature extreme to tell a story about fascism and how to fight against it
3. X:men, particularly the krokoa from the last few years and the marauders series from this Era (not expecting a lot of comic recs from this sub but I thought it was worth mentioning)
4. Percy Jackson. Just good heartwarming fun
5. Frankenstein in Baghdad. I read this last year for my senior year AP Lit and Comp class and loved it. It combined point of view, horror and comedy to tell an amazing story about war and its consequences
I am currently reading the Invincible comics by Kirkman, am planning on starting Scott Pilgrim in January and am rereading the Hunger Games but I’m almost done with that
