Not sure if this counts since I’m not done yet but I’ve been reading Memories of Ice by Steven Erikson for 4 months…. I really like it I just find it emotionally draining so I tend to not want to go read it lmao

Demon Copperhead. I love Barbara Kingsolver books, but boy is this one depressing. I can only handle a couple chapters a day, so going on a while now.

Fingers crossed to finish by the end of the month Tale of the Genji. I’ve read chapters 1-13 and 32- 54.

I finally finished Dune… I started it in 2021, does that count? I read other books during that time haha

Lessons in chemistry. I enjoyed the characters but had difficulty getting into the book. There was a lot of backstory included that didn’t interest me

Shogun. I really enjoyed it but that thing is like 1200+ pages long!

Babel by RF Kuang, I overestimated myself and my schedule, thought I could finish it in a week. Turns out, a month has already passed by when I ticked it off from my Now Reading list.

Literally all of them! I had such a reading slump this year and don’t know if I finished a single book outright.
Still trying to get through Dune (I too stared it in 2021) and Britney’s memoir.
Maybe in 2024 I’ll get through anything.

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
I had to take several breaks while reading it, during which I blew through a few other books. Took at least 3 months to finally finish it.

House of Leaves. I loved it but man it took me a good month or two to get through it, was taking notes and making sure I read EVERYTHING. Restarted it a few times because I forgot certain elements.
