For those unfamiliar, a poor little meow meow could be described as “both endearingly pathetic and extremely flawed or villainous” or “a sad little man with deep-rooted psychological issues and pathetic eyes.” Yes, this is a tumblr thing.

Some examples of poor little meow meows in literature/pop culture:
    – Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment
    – Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad
    – Kendall Roy from Succession
    – Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights (kind of)

I just can’t get enough of these kinds of characters, and I’m looking for something new to read.

The book series, The Vorkosigan saga, has a character named Mark Vorkosigan >!who was raised to be an evil clone but ended up more damaged than evil, !<he is not in every book in the series

    2. If you are open to manga and aren’t turned off by adult humor, I have to recommend Golden Kamuy. It has one of the most pathetic, psychologically damaged men I’ve ever seen. Absolutely just an awful guy, 10/10 my favorite character.
