There is a post on this page going around where people are sharing their favorite books of the year. One of the posters put a specific Hunger Games, book as their answer. This prompted the thought about the books as a whole series. Does one of the books stand out from the rest? Or you can’t have a favorite and the series as a whole is the superior option?
In my opinion, the series is like a huge book in my mind. I can’t just go read my favorite out of the series on a rainy day. I would start with TBOSAS then into the trilogy (yes in that order).
Those of you that have read the books, what is your opinion? Do you have a favorite? Or think of the books as one?

I enjoy the entire original series but the first is by far the strongest. A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was my least favorite and personally I’d recommend skipping it entirely.
