Hi! I woke up to the news of Sandra Day O’Connor’s passing but also saw some interesting tweets about her role in Bush v Gore.
I loved American History in high school and really want to get back into it and find some books where I can get a deep dive on the major events of the past 100 years of history. I love to read but would not say I have it in me to slog through a nonfiction book that isn’t “readable”, if that makes sense. Basically, something that’s written for the general public (not a major history buff) that has lively and interesting, and readable prose.
My request for all of you is two-fold:
1. A “readable” book about bush v gore and all the events surrounding it
2. Any additional books you’ve loved about recent American history events that are “readable” in this same sense.
