Hello. This is my first time posting on this subreddit!
I kind of want to get out of my usual reading comfort zone. I’ve searched on Reddit, on google and on GoodReads, but it seems like my request is too specific so I didn’t find many books that truly correspond at what I’m looking for.
I’m looking for:
\- Only contemporary, high society stories
\- Strong personality FMC (alpha-type?) and equally strong MMC, with successful career or both wealthy (heiress, billionaire, etc.)
\- Preferably MFM or MMF (reverse harem is ok but please no omegaverse, thank you!), but if not, MF is alright too
\- Age gap beteen FMC and MMC1 (preferably 10+)
\- Prefer MMC 2 to be more of a shy, sweet, caring, supportive type compared to the strong FMC & MMC (I was thinking maybe the MMC2 works for the FMC and is devoted towards the FMC, and has class difference with her?)
\- Enemies to Lovers for the FMC and MMC1 (maybe they dislike each other, or at least FMC dislikes MMC1, but they need to work together for a common goal… etc. or their companies are rivals but need to do a project together…)
\- Is it possible to have high sexual tension but low steam? Plot>>>>>Spicy (because I’m a sex-repulsed ace… but if there’s too many steamy passages I could as well just skip them, so…)
\- Arranged marriage between FMC & MMC1 will be appreciated
\- Revenge plot will be appreciated (FMC revenge on someone and needs MMC1’s help?)
For the Romance genre, I’m looking into books by Nikki Sloane, especially The Architect (but fear it might be too spicy for my ace heart). I’m also interested in her Filthy Rich Americans series.
Books on my TBR with similar themes that interest me, but aren’t marketed as Romance:
\- The Social Climber by Amanda Pellegrino
\- Anatomy of a Scandal by Sarah Vaughan
\- No One Needs to Know by Lindsay Cameron
I also loved Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty for the background setting and mystery.
