Pls put spoilers in blacked out text.

Anyway the saddest book I’ve ever read was “Summer , fireworks and my corpse” by the Japanese author Otsuichi.

    >! That poor girl gets murdered by her best friend and the boy she has a crush on betrays her and helps hide her body. Even the adult she looks up to betrays her in the end and helps hide her dead body in a better manner. Her mother will spend the rest of her life wondering what happened to her !<

    1. For me i think it’s the RotE by Robin Hobb. All 16 books are kind of sad and depressing. But i still love them so much.

Home by Marilynne Robinson. It’s so beautifully written – she won the Pulitzer- but desperately sad
