Suggest me books to read during surgery recovery. I’ll have a lot of down time for 2-6 weeks. Probably nothing that takes too much brain power. Going to the library tomorrow to stock up. Thanks!
ETA: I like basically everything: scifi, fantasy, mystery, humor, nonfiction, history, whatever.

When the Lion Feeds by Wilbur Smith. The whole Courtney’s of Africa series is pretty epic imo.
A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers
Murderbot series by Martha Wells (sci fi)
Scholomance trilogy by Naomi Novik (fantasy)
Red Queen by Juan Gomez-Jirado (mystery)
Black Wolf by Kathleen Kent (spy + serial killer thriller)
Mary Roach’s Gulp and Stiff (nonfiction)
Lauren Wolk’s historical middle grade are all high in quality and depth.
Alexandra Petri’s US History (humor and history!)
Try Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy! It’s hilarious and an easy read!
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot
I like to re-read the Narnia books when I’m feeling low.
I just read A Completely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green and couldn’t put it down. Just got the sequel!
