Hi all thanks for your time
The last 5 books I’ve read are from suggestions from Reddit and they have been fantastic so I’d like your help to pick some more.
My last 5 books are
In the heart of the sea – Nathaniel Philbrick
Of mice and men – John Steinbeck
Into the wild – Jon Krakauer
Into this air – Jon Krakauer
The Etymologicon – Mark Forsyth
My favourite of those last 5 would have to be Into thin air closely followed by In the heart of the sea. I’m definitely more into non-fiction than fiction as I’d like to learn while I read.
If anyone has some suggestions on non-fiction books relating to life on the sea (pirates, mutiny, stranded sailors), adventure, interesting autobiography, Roman and Greek mythology stories or anything you think of similar to my last 5 reads, I’d muchly appreciate it.
I’m currently 25% through The call of the wild by Jack London and is quite good so far. I started reading The picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde but couldn’t get into it and I’ve also got The count of Monte cristo downloaded but the page count is putting me off haha. I generally like books between 3-400 pages long and I can finish them within a month.
Thanks heaps for any input.
