I’m trying to get a certain book for my husband for Christmas. I found it on AbeBooks from a seller in the UK called Bramble Books. I’m in the US and don’t know much about them. But they look reputable. They’ve been on AbeBooks since 2010, have 5 stars and 21k listings.
Is that enough to trust that I’m not going to get scammed?

I love Abebooks. Go for it.
Short answer, yes, you can trust them. Longer answer, AbeBooks are probably the biggest marketplace for secondhand and collectable books out there, and have a very good reputation. Obviously you have the usual issue that they’re all third party sellers, but if the seller has good reviews over a long period they’ll be as reliable as pretty much anywhere else.
I bought a signed Terry Pratchett from them a few weeks ago – arrived here in the Uk when they said he would and was true to the description.
