I’m trying to get a certain book for my husband for Christmas. I found it on AbeBooks from a seller in the UK called Bramble Books. I’m in the US and don’t know much about them. But they look reputable. They’ve been on AbeBooks since 2010, have 5 stars and 21k listings.

Is that enough to trust that I’m not going to get scammed?

    1. Short answer, yes, you can trust them. Longer answer, AbeBooks are probably the biggest marketplace for secondhand and collectable books out there, and have a very good reputation. Obviously you have the usual issue that they’re all third party sellers, but if the seller has good reviews over a long period they’ll be as reliable as pretty much anywhere else.

    2. I bought a signed Terry Pratchett from them a few weeks ago – arrived here in the Uk when they said he would and was true to the description.
