I got to chapter 14 after my 30 year old friend recommended this book to me. I couldn’t do it anymore. I bring up her age because we are both over 30, and the writing was very much for teenagers. If I was 16, this would have been my favorite book of all time.

The hype and triangle love story with the awkward MC who doesn’t quite fit in, reminds me a lot of the twilight craze. I just haven’t seen anyone talk about the parallels between the two yet.

I’m just so surprised at the amount of people my age who are into the book, considering we all went through the twilight hype and then saw it’s eventual fall when people relentlessly made fun of it (and the movies).

    1. It’s totally fine if you don’t like the book but please don’t turn it into bullshit argument about age appropriate reading. There’s nothing weird or whatever with enjoying any book whether you’re 16, 30, or 102 years old.

    2. Is Fourth Wing for teenagers? Probably, but people of any age can read whatever they want. There’s no age limit on books. And I know two people, both in their thirties, who still hold a soft spot for Twilight.
