Like the title says; suggest your favorite(s) book! I’d say that the only books I don’t necessarily go for are: Mythology, Auto/Biographies, and Self Care.
I love Fantasy, History, Romance (18+ is fine as well), Thriller/Horror, Mystery, “Classics”, ect! Poetry depends, I like the difficult to understand, might give you a headache type.
Some popular examples that I enjoyed;
Twisted series and Kings of Sin By Ana Huang- Romance
Haunting & Hunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton- Dark Romance
Literally anything by SJM: ACOTAR, TOG, CC- Fantasy
Prisoner B-3087, Projekt 1065 by Alan Gratz- Historical Fiction
Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica- Thriller/Horror
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky- Classic
I’m quite open to reading anything. But I want suggestions ranging from “Oh my God, my heart was ripped out of my chest” to “this is refreshing”.

Mindbenders: Excession by Iain M Banks and The city and the city by China Mieville. Three body problem is kinda like that as well. 3 very different books but they are in their own way really something for the brain to chew on without being excessively complicated.
Try Mort by Terry Pratchett, just give it a try. Forget the “fantasy” label, Terrys books are so, so much more. If you like Mort just plunge into Discworld, there is a lot ( but not enough ).
Hey! I’ve recently started writing a book and if you have a few minutes to check it out I’d love your support!

Book of Night by Holly Black was an unexpected discovery for me this year. It has a strong female lead and is quite dark. Don’t expect too much though, it’s more of a fun read and not exactly on the complex headache side of things.
I ran out of books on holiday and discovered it in a Greek bookstore, haha.
The Words by Ashley Jade
Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann
Broken Scars by J.M. Walker
