Good books with a hurt / comfort redemption arc theme?

This is weirdly specific but I read this fanfic about a villain getting hurt and needing to be rescued and he redeems himself through out his physical healing process and… well I’m a sucker and it totally hooked me. I’m feeling like Zuko esque redemption arc here. Any suggestions are welcome
