I’m a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I love the fountain of youth angle, the mermaids, Blackbeard and his cursed and magic ship.
Are there any adult books like this???
I would love a book that resembles this exact genre.
Any suggestions?

You could check out Tim Powers “On Stranger Tides,” the book the movie was loosely adapted from. No Jack Sparrow – he was added in when they made it a pirates movie.
It’s a little more realistic, but Michael Crichton’s _Pirate Latitudes_ is a pirate adventure novel for adults that I enjoyed and don’t see mentioned often. This was found in Crichton’s papers after he passed away and published around 2009. Remember it being fun.
The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw. Very surreal and like a dark fairy tale.
This. I just went on a trip down the Oregon Coast this summer, and the beaches, rocky coves and the like made me feel like pirates and mermaids were just around the corner. And I’m 27 haha.
