I need to read 3 more books to reach my reading goal for 2023. I spent a LOT of time on door stoppers this year like Gone with the Wind, Crime and Punishment and the GOT series, so I’m looking for any recommendations for great, yet easily digestible books. Thank you in advance!

      Three short reads:

{{A Short Stay in Hell by Steven L. Peck}}. Classified as horror, but it’s not scary. Guy ends up in hell and has to (essentially) read his way out. Couldn’t stop thinking about this one for a week.

{{The Cybernetic Tea Shop by Meredith Katz}}. Short, cozy read about a robot tech and an outdated AI robot who owns a cafe. Cute romance ensues, LGBTQ+.

{{Diary of a Void by Emi Yagi}}. Woman lies about being pregnant at work, almost as an experiment, and then has to sustain the lie while enjoying the “perks” of (non)pregnant life.

    2. Since you didn’t specify in depth your preferences, here are some ones that I liked:

Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates

Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

      Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

The Great God Pan by Arthur Machen

Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

      Candide by Voltaire

We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson

The Great Divorce by C. S. Lewis

      Sula by Toni Morrison
