I really, really hate switching book universes, so I am looking for some **long (4+ books) book series** of any type of fiction (contemporary romance, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, adventure, etc) just **no horror, no YA, no Christian fiction/inspirational books, and no erotica**. Can include LGBTQ fiction but straight fiction is fine too. I’d prefer the first book to be written in the past 25 years, so somewhat recent, and I prefer books written by women or LGBTQ writers. I only read books by straight, cis, men if the books are unique- like An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green and Paper Towns by John Green. I find that many straight, cis male writers get uber masculine when writing, waay to violent, and dismissive of anything feminine, and it’s annoying. That’s why I hate Game of Thrones and the like.
I just want to get lost in a universe for a while. Anyways, thank you!

    1. The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. If you include the prequel (which I do; it was written about halfway through the series, so it very much fits in with the rest) it is a total of 15 books and over 11,000 pages.

The author is a straight white cis man, however, the universe is a matriarchy. There isn’t too much romance and very little (and never explicit) sex, but there are polygamous and gay relationships.
