I’m not a massive reader myself so kind of a minefield looking for some nice books for my gran. She loves a romance (but nothing too erotic) we just finished Poldark and she loved that – she’s going through a tough time at the moment so hoping to find her something that’ll pick her up, she loves to read! Any recommendations are appreciated

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot – not romantic, but certainly nice
Mothering Sunday by Graham Swift
Nights in Rodanthe, Nicholas Sparks
Thrush Green by Miss Read
A girl to love by Betty Neels
Any mauve Binchy
Our Souls at Night by Kent Haruf
If she’s a Jane Austen fan but you’re looking for something a little more modern, I found Sophie Irwin’s *The Lady’s Guide to Fortune-Hunting* very fun! It’s basically a P&P homage with lots of banter, following romance beats without any steamy scenes. 😉
