Currently I’m on Plato’s republic but it’s hit or miss because sometimes I get really enraptured in the dialogue and can’t stop actively listening. Anything in the same literary family but slightly less thought provoking?
Nausea by Sartre was perfect for this until I finished it.

The Lord of the Rings narrated by Rob Inglis is tremendously good. Great for active listening, but I’ve fallen asleep to it plenty of times because the voices are just so soothing coupled with Tolkien’s multitude of longer, descriptive passages.
Remembrance of Things Past by Marcel Proust
My Struggle by Karl Ove Knausgaard is great on audio and it’s a long series.
On Spotify there is a playlist of classic audio books for this. The Sleepy Time bookshelf I believe. It’s nice.
