I’m looking for something with several books in the same world, hopefully long ones. It’s fine if it’s like the same guy solving mysteries or a bunch of different povs.

I like thriller, horror, mystery, dystopian stuff most, some fantasy or sci Fi if it’s not too far removed from our world (something like Harry Potter is fine but I wasn’t a fan of lord of the rings). I’m not a big fan of romance as a genre but it’s inclusion is cool.

I’m looking to have a big long series to listen to on audiobook while I work.

Try the Pendergast series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. It’s something like 20 books so far. The first one is Relic.

Saw some good reviews for Renegade Star by J.N. Chaney, it’s like 16 books long 🤷🏼‍♂️

    3. Parker series by Richard Stark!

Spare, unforgiving, very realistic heist novels. A lot of technical detail about the heists and really amazing problem solving by the main character when things inevitably go wrong. To say he doesn’t suffer fools is an understatement.

Kinda starts with a loosely linked trilogy — _The Hunter_, _The Man with the Getaway Face_, and _The Outfit_ — then becomes more standalone in feel, until the showstopper 16th book, _Butcher’s Moon_, which was a type of culminating finale in 1974.

Until the character came back in the late 90s for another eight books in the series, culminating in another trilogy at the very end — _Nobody Runs Forever_, _Ask the Parrot_, and _Dirty Money_.

Every one of these books is impressive and satisfying! They hold up to multiple rereads as well.

    4. There’s a really good trilogy called the Colorado Chapters by Kathy Minor. Not exceptionally long but really excellent. Dystopian series. Wish she would write more

    5. Seems like you need to take a journey to The Dark Tower (by Stephen King. First book is The Gunslinger)

    6. I’m currently on book 7 of the Tracy Crosswhite detective series by Robert Dugoni. I love the characters and cases!
