Okay, so many books include a variation of this phrase and it drives me absolutely nuts.
“She felt the bile rising in her throat.”
Seriously. I was highlighting every time I saw it in a book and it was in almost every one that I read.
Can’t remember ever getting upset about something and feeling bile rising in my throat. Can we please stop saying this?
