Books I might put in this category could be Never Let Me Go, Bridge to Teribithia, The Bridges of Madison County, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Call Me By Your Name, The Nightingale

I enjoy adult fiction, historical fiction, and memoirs. I do not tend to like sci fi or fantasy

The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin – four siblings living in New York meet a fortune teller, and their lives are a reaction to what each of them heard. The book explored whether fate is real or not, whether to believe it or ignore it.

Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. ( This book has mixed reviews, but I enjoyed it) – Friends grow up and make a video game company together, sometimes they are best friends, and sometimes they drift apart , but it’s an enduring relationship.

    2. If you haven’t read it yet, The Book Thief has one of the most touching portrayals of Death that I’ve had the pleasure to read, i read it once and it touched me deeply to the point I’m putting off reading it again because of the way it made my insides ache lol

    3. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

The Green Mile by Stephen King

I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

      Happy reading!

    4. “There There” by Tommy Orange is a good one. There’s a ton of set up for the final scene, and the last part of the book is just really hard hitting.

    5. Ooh check out, « On Earth, We’re Briefly Gorgeous » by Ocean Vuong. It’s written for his mother who can’t read. It’s got so many good quotes and metaphors, for sure makes me tear up.
