Book recommendations?

I’m trying to get more books to read, but it’s difficult. I’m open to anything as long as it’s well written and has a good storyline. Any books that match khaled hosseini’s style of books would be appreciated. I also like books such as A Good Girls Guide to Murder, or the Heresy series by S.J.Parris. I like many things but I’m not too big on books that focus solely on romance. Sad book recommendations would be nice, ones that include heavy topics that could be quite sensitive for people. Books with some essence of South Asian (specifically Pakistani) would br appreciated as well, so long as the main character hates absolutely everything and spends the entire book trashing the culture, etc. Any sort of recommendations would be welcome, really. I’ve got a wide variety of books but I just need a larger quantity as many of the books I own now are ones I liked in year 6 like Jacqueline Wilson, David Walliams, Enid Blyton, etc.
