    Hey fellow book lovers,
I’ve been in the mood for some cozy autumn reading lately, and I’m hoping to find books that give off those charming Gilmore Girls vibes. You know, the kind of stories that are heartwarming, witty, and filled with strong, smart, and stylish female characters.
Here’s what I’m looking for in my next book:
    1. Gilmore Girls Vibes: I adore the fast-paced dialogue and quirky small-town charm of Gilmore Girls, so anything that captures that essence is a plus.
    2. Easy to Read: I’m not looking for anything too heavy or complicated. I want a book that’s easy to get into and perfect for curling up with on a chilly autumn day.
    3. Autumn/Winter Aesthetic: I’m all about those cozy vibes. Whether it’s set in a charming small town or a bustling city with a magical holiday atmosphere, I want to feel like I’m wrapped in a warm scarf, sipping hot cocoa by the fire.
    4. Lead Female Character: I’m hoping to dive into a story with a lead character who’s not just smart but a total boss babe. Bonus points if she has a killer fashion sense and knows how to rock her own unique style.
    5. A Touch of Mean Girl: While I love strong female friendships, I also wouldn’t mind a bit of drama. If there’s a mean girl or a compelling antagonist thrown into the mix, it could make for some juicy plot twists!
    7. Eye-catching Cover: Let’s be honest, a beautiful cover can make all the difference. If the book has a cover that screams “pick me up,” please let me know!
So, if you have any book recommendations that check these boxes, please drop them in the comments below. I’m excited to explore new reads and get lost in the world of fiction. Thanks in advance, bookworms! 📚🍂✨

Among Others by Jo Walton. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but the protagonist is a young woman who really loves reading. The book has a very cosy, magic feeling.

    2. I’m a huge Gilmore Girls fan and I’m working my way through the Virgin River book series right now. Small town, nature involved, easy reads, and they start out with a strong female character. Other people get thrown into the mix along the way, and become plot points at different times.

I haven’t read it myself, but plenty of people have said that *Just Don’t Fall* by Emma St Clair has Gilmore Girls vibes. It’s set in a small town, involves old feelings resurfacing for a first love, and his name is Logan…

    4. Check out The City Baker’s Guide to Country Living – I read it last year and got Stars Hollow vibes from the small town setting

I might sound like a middle school grader after recommending this, but if you want to curl up with a new obsession, try reading all the nancy drew series? They’re cozy mystery novels with a brilliant young female protagonist.

If you’re into lighter, more funny vibes, try the Heather Wells Series. Heather is a child music star turned adult residence hall manager, struggling with a love life, living with her ex-boyfriend’s private detective brother, and getting used to her job when girls start to die in the residence hall. Everyone else has written these deaths off as attempts, but Heather isn’t buying it

    6. It’s a graphic novel and therefore a pretty quick read, but Pumpkinheads has some of the best fall, small town quirkiness vibes ever. The art is great and Deja is smart and unapologeticly herself.

I liked The Switch by Beth O’Leary. It has great small town vibes. Grandma and granddaughter switch lives for a few months after a loss. Easy read, some drama, romance.

    8. I like Elizabeth Strout’s books, they’re also about family bonds and have autumn vibes, very descriptive of surroundings and weather. And easy to read and beautiful covers!
