No fluffy romance, teen awakening backstory stuff. Something dark, carnal. I’ve read Brian lumley and Kim Harrison already; looking for something just savage and unpredictable
Try Seanan McGuire October Daye series. Not witches and vamps, faeries and monsters. Similar in style of Kim Harrison. Also Laurell K Hamilton Anita Blake series. In later books it evolves into semi erotica but still good.

Anne Rice books if you haven’t read them yet.
The Witching Hour
Interview with a Vampire
I just read Witching Hour last month, and I am reading Interview with a Vampire now (almost done.) They still stand up. Dark and carnal is exactly how’d I describe them. Like extra dark and carnal IMO. When I finished reading WH my first thought was, “wow, Anne Rice, were you okay when you write this?!?!”
