2023 is almost up and I’m a few books short of my goal for the year! Looking for a few great page turners to see me through the next few weeks.
The sort of books that I read in 1-3 days are things like The Martian, Project Hail Mary, the Silo trilogy, and anything by Blake Crouch. I love poetic and old school sci-fi (Time War, Asimov, etc.) but I usually read them in smaller chunks cos I’m a big dummy.
So, if you’ve got any good recs, please let me know! I’ll take any fantasy page turners too!
Thanks all!

the Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells are mostly short books that are easy and quick to read because the focus more on the characters rather than the complicated science stuff. Might wanna check it out if you want a series
Old Man’s War series by John Scalzi
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? By Philip K. Dick
2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke
Neuromancer by William Gibson
The Space Adventures Of Commander Laine.
Children of Time
If you want something short to PUMP THOSE NUMBERS UP, *Murderbot* seems the obvious answer
If you want something with heavy Weir vibes, on the longer side but readers have been blowing through it in one or two sittings regardless, [*Theft of Fire*](https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RN96GNTNSRSJE/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B0CJHQ4LZN) might be a good fit
For fantasy, I found *Orconomics* quite fun, if a bit too political
And you cannot go wrong with the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. Since it’s the holidays, you might want to read Mort, Reaper Man, and culminate with The Hogfather. Normally I’d suggest Guards! Guards! as the launch point though!
*This is How You Lose the Time War* by Amal El-Mohtar, Max Gladstone.
