I am curious about Tom Clancy books. I read a lot of fantasy and sci fi but I love the video games in his name. What are some good books to start with? Thanks!
I’d say *The Hunt for Red October* if you’re planning a one off; if you wanna do a couple I’d start with *Without Remorse*–that’s the origin story that leads to *Rainbow Six* of videogame fame.

There are Two logical Starting points.
Hunt for Red October was his first release and is a great opener to his works.
If you want to begin with the earliest chronologically it would be Without Remorse. Personally I would recommend HFRO first, followed by Without Remorse, then Patriot Games, Red Rabbit, Red Storm Rising, Cardinal of the Kremlin, before you get to the serious Ryan’s, Clear and Present Danger, Debt of Honor, Executive Orders, Rainbow Six and finally The Bear and the Dragon. Everything else is either a collaboration or alternate writer’s using the licensed Ryanverse.

Good suggestion. Start with the first and if you’re so-so on it just read Red October to decide your level of like. If you like the first, they are good before bed reads and I’d just start in order and pick the ones with plots that sound the most interesting to you.
