I never liked reading as a kid, the only time I actually read books was for school assignments.
I’m 21 now and I want to give reading a second chance., but I have no idea where to start.
I remember there was 1 book that I liked, it was called The Crossing by Cormac Mc Carthy.
Feel free to give me any suggestion on what a good first book could be to get into the book world, it just what your personal favourite it.

I really think a great first book is Lord of the Flies. It’s a classic but it resonates today.
I would recommend my all-time fav, The House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig. It’s a very bewitching retelling of the 12 Princesses. It’s a fantasy (obv) and with a touch of horror so Idk if you gonna like it but its a good book. i do hope you find the perfect book for u <3
I was in a similar situation when I was younger, I actually started reading when I was 16 but I hated reading before ! What actually got me to like books was Blackwater by Micheal McDowell, it’s really easy to read, there’s alway something happening, interesting characters and a bit of horror.
