Looking for a page-turner, easy-ish read

I want to get my dad a book for Christmas. He has been looking for some sort of mystery, something really fast-paced. Nothing overly violent or sexual.

English is not his first language although he is fluent, so nothing too difficult to read. He likes a lot of action and doesn’t like overly descriptive writing.
