the book was so bad.. i have a rant review on my [goodreads](https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/165435043?sort=date_read)
did anyone hate it/love it? why?
also i did not shed a single tear over this book unless you’re counting tears of frustration

main points from my review (its 2 stars):
to sum up the book, i have one word. one word, **boring**. like.. i wasnt hooked?? sure i read a chapter or two but i **didnt** feel any **emotional connection** to this book. i did NOT cry. i **didnt see any depth** to this book tbh. sure, if it was less hyped, i mightve given it a 3, 3.5 if i was being generous. but.. no.

***character development.***
non existent. HELLO?? as i said, no depth. especially in the characters. achilles. he was handsome and everything. yes i know. we know. everyone knows from the three million times you mentioned it in this book. ‘so beautiful no one could look him in the eye’, ‘his beauty made me speechless’. sure, throw in a mention here or there, but this much?? i want to know what he himself is like. on the inside. not how he looks on the outside. he was flat. potential, yes, but **wasted potential.**
and the FUCKING **FEET**. like.. stop ✋😟. i get it, they smell nice. but do you have a **foot fetish**?? why is that the first thing you think about achilles? im just.. i cant. first, i was dying laughing about this. then it kept coming up and i want him to shut up.

I thought the writing was too self aware. I was bored, read about half and DNF’d it.
I mean idk about the rest of it but it makes a lot of sense to associate feet with achilles
