Looking for a book that talks about game theory and/or other math concepts. Hoping this book can relay game theory concepts to real life situations. Examples include biology, economics, business, sports and political conflicts.

Karl sigmunds game of lifes comes to mind but the book is currently unavailable

    1. When you mentioned game theory, the first person who came to my mind was John Horton Conway. He was active in a number of different mathematical theories but combative game theory was one of his core ones, given that he was also highly imaginative. He had a book titled *On Numbers and Games* that might explore a lot of what you’re talking about. Though it’s still a used textbook (with similar costs, unfortunately), maybe you could find an ebook version that’s more affordable?

On the note Karl Sigmund, though, I just searched up the book you mentioned, and it seems I can find it pretty easily for around $15 (or even older editions for cheaper). Maybe your location is different or it’s not the right edition, but I just thought I’d mention.

    2. It’s old but nuclear game theory is, unfortunately, evergreen. *Prisoner’s Dilemma* – Von Neumann

    3. You might like Humble Pi by Matt Parker. Math mistakes in everyday situations with a humorous spin. Not sure on the game theory, but have a look and see if it’s for you.
