I just finished These Violent Delights by Micah Nemerever (loved that it had dark academia vibes, queer representation, and psychological thriller type twist and turns). I also just finished The Silent Patient (kept me on the edge of my seat and is really what I look for in a psychological thriller).
I have read all of Donna Tart’s books and a lot of the books that are recommended when you google dark academia (Bunny, If We Were Villains, A Little Life).
The recommendations don’t have to be both a thriller and dark academia but I would love if it were. I’ve also been doing a lot of audiobooks lately so the suggestions being decent audiobook readings is a plus.
TL;DR: Seeking dark academia/psych thriller (audiobook) that might not be included in a quick google search
