I am currently working on my master thesis in comparative literature and need at least one other book whose country of origin isn’t anglophone. I am looking for a book similar to House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson and Dowry of Blood by S. T. Gibson. It should be a recent release — preferably post 2020; books published after the mid-2000 might also be legible since the criteria are already very limiting. What’s most important is that the book should revolve around one or multiple female vampires — a sapphic or queer romance is not necessary but would also be preferable since it would fit with the theme of the chosen books. (I am also covering Carmilla). Since it’s for academic work it needs to be of certain quality and shouldn’t be classified as erotica or new adult romance. I am focusing on gender and body in my research.
