For me, The Picture of Dorian Gray was unsettling and intriguing. It made my skin crawl in some of the most dreadful ways I’ve ever felt and I loved every second of it. I guess there was a sort of romantic quality to it? I don’t want to read something that is purely horrible, I just really enjoyed the thrill of how it disturbed me and would like to read something that will give me a similar feeling. All suggestions are appreciated!
