I had this amazing TA for freshman English lit back in college. We read all the great novels you’d expect (off hand I only recall Heart of Darkness) plus works from The Greatest Poems of the English Language (Sakespeare, Yates, Coleridge…). And his analysis was always amazing.
So one day I asked him where he got all of his insights. And I remember his answer being Harvard something something. Implying that there were publications that included the analysis and interpretations in the text. As it was still the dawn of the internet era, I never followed up.
Can anyone tell me what publications he may have been referring to, and where I could find them today? Thanks in advance!
