Usually when you read such books, they have such long winded paragraphs, painstakingly full timing and god so many phrases
I hope you all understand what I’m trying to get at here. And recommend me some books like that.

Lapvona
The Saxon Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell (the basis for the TV series The Last Kingdom). They are set in 900s England during the Viking invasions. There are 13 books – very entertaining and fast paced!
Possibly Matrix by Lauren Groff about Medieval nun Marie de France.
